Boutet-Hourdeaux is a small law firm specialising in cassation techniques and administrative litigation, based in Paris. The firm assists and represents individuals and legal entities, as well as public and private entities, before the supreme courts.
Still relatively unknown online, Boutet-Hourdeaux wanted to boost its online visibility, develop its brand, and showcase its expertise while striking a balance between its serious image and its sense of humour.
I collaborated with Intersection Conseil to design the firm’s visual identity and new website. We created a simple, elegant, modern, and unpretentious design and an attractive website reassuring customers and visitors.
The visual identity
Institutional, yes, but also creative and harmonious.
Boutet-Hourdeaux’s identity was designed to be elegant, and unpretentious, yet also creative and modern. An identity that modernises the legal profession before the Council of State and the Court of Cassation.
Based on their « hands-on » and personalised approach with care and trust, I created a logo using their initials to convey a sense of clarity and accessibility. The new logo icon uses « BH » to signify honest connection. It also conveys modernity, trust, and reassurance through a colour palette with vibrant touches and minimalist and linear illustrations.

The website
A website that reflects the firm’s personality and style
The website had to be attractive, accessible, and reassure clients and prospects, while continuing a network-based approach. Each page was designed with a simple yet streamlined structure to highlight the content, and offers light micro-interactions to create a dynamic and distinctive experience. Following the style of the illustrations, I used a vertical line that guides the visitor’s gaze.
It was also important that the site maintain its aesthetic appeal on all screens and devices.
