Hi, I’m Eva
I am the engineer turned Founder, Brand Designer, Graphic Designer, Website Designer & Developper, Illustrator… (you name it!) behind in a nutshell.
My story
Hard work,pursuit of dream & magic of serendipity
Adventurer and independent at heart, I changed career early on knowing the 9-5 routine would not feed my creative and wild spirit. I made a bold leap from agronomic engineering studies to the creative world. I have a diploma in Agronomic Engineering (Master’s degree) with a specialisation in Marketing, Economics and Business Management from AgroParisTech (France’s Top Engineering School for Life, Food and Environmental Sciences in Paris).
My studies fuelled my passion for Nature and Wildlife. I travelled to South Africa, Canada, and the USA, where my thirst for adventure and connection to nature only grew stronger.
After attaining my diploma, I bought a one-way ticket to South Africa, fell in love, and started my own graphic design studio, in a nutshell (based in France). My independence, love for challenges, and boundless creativity naturally drew me to entrepreneurship. I was dreaming bigger and reaching further for my life’s adventure!
I’ve always loved drawing and designing, but I never expected to own my own business one day and become a designer. Life has a way of leading us down unexpected paths!
In a nutshell was created for dreamers who feel limited by their imagination but still want to believe in magic.
Over the years, I have aimed to work with entrepreneurs and businesses, who are passionate about their work and sparkle with ideas, but don’t necessarily have the tools or skills to achieve their goals. But that’s where I come in – to help them create the life and business of their dreams.
My strengths? A broad range of design skills – from creating visual identities, designing packaging and marketing materials to designing and developing websites. I bring a keen eye for details, a very attentive ear to truly understand my clients’ needs, and a strategic mindset… all wrapped up in a professional yet fun approach.

Why a squirrel?
My last name is Ackermann, and did you know that « akker » means acorn in Afrikaans?
Just like an acorn, filled with the promise of a mighty oak, the squirrel perfectly symbolises the energy directed toward achieving its goals. The squirrel cheerful activities remind us to enjoy life.
The squirrel is also a sign of cleverness and resourcefulness—just like him, even if you’re missing the ingredients for success, you have a knack for finding exactly what you need, exactly when you need it!
